Basketball Game Preview: Potomac Senior Panthers vs. Peninsula Catholic Knights

The Potomac Senior Panthers will face off against the Peninsula Catholic Knights at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Potomac Senior will head into Saturday's contest out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They were beaten by Oscar Smith 82-45. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-20.

Despite the loss, Potomac Senior saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Amani Asare went 8 for 15 on his way to 21 points.

Meanwhile, Peninsula Catholic posted their biggest win since February 28, 2024 on Friday. They put the hurt on Atlantic Shores Christian with a sharp 73-52 victory.

Peninsula Catholic now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Potomac Senior, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3.
