Basketball Recap: Asbury Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Asbury and Brindlee Mountain squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Asbury had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Brindlee Mountain Lions by a score of 47-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered since January 6th.

Asbury has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-23 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Brindlee Mountain, they moved to 4-23 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Asbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brindlee Mountain has also already played their next match, an 81-28 loss against Whitesburg Christian Academy on the 1st.
