Basketball Game Preview: Wiregrass Kings vs. Malone Tigers

The Wiregrass Kings will take on the Malone Tigers in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wiregrass has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 26.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 94-53, which was the final score in Wiregrass' tilt against Valiant Cross Academy on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Warriors are ranked eighth).

Malone has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to Cottondale on the road by a 50-34 margin on Tuesday. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Wiregrass' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Malone, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
