Soccer Preview: Grosse Pointe North and Mott Square Off

On Wednesday Grosse Pointe North will have to hit the road after three straight games at home. They will square off against the Mott Marauders at 6:00 p.m. Mott is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.

Coming off of a narrow one-goal win over Hamtramck, Grosse Pointe North left no doubt about the outcome versus Fraser on Monday. The Norsemen put the hurt on the Ramblers with a sharp 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for Grosse Pointe North, who have now won four games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mott strolled into their game on Monday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over Sterling Heights.

Grosse Pointe North has now won six of their last seven games at home. That gives them a 6-1 record this season. The home wins were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those seven matches. As for Mott, the victory improved their record to 3-0-1.
