Softball Recap: Stella High Charter Academy Comes Up Short

If Stella High Charter Academy was feeling good fresh off their 23-13 takedown of Animo Watts last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Animo Venice Pirates on Monday, falling 18-5. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost six in a row.

Stella High Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Animo Venice, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Stella High Charter Academy will challenge rival Alliance Health Services Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Animo Venice is set to square off against their familiar foe Los Angeles Academy of Arts & Enterprise at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
