Baseball Recap: Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack vs. Franklin Wildcats
Cosumnes Oaks had lost six straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 8-17 to make it seven. They lost 16-0 to the Franklin Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-0 loss on Wednesday.
Cosumnes Oaks saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Davis, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.
As for Franklin, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 21-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games.
On Franklin's side, Kyle Timmons was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
