Soccer Game Preview: La Center vs. Toledo

The La Center Wildcats will head out to face off against the Toledo Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Toledo took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on La Center, who comes in off a win.

La Center will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Friday, then bounced right back against Kalama on Monday. La Center never let Kalama get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. That looming 8-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for La Center yet this season.

Their offense was hitting Kalama from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Ian Johnson led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Toledo fell victim to King's Way Christian and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 8-0 to the Knights. Toledo have struggled against King's Way Christian recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Toledo's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-2. As for La Center, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1-1.

La Center suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Toledo in their previous matchup back in May of 2019. Can La Center avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
