Volleyball Recap: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the North Cobb Christian Eagles. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-7.

North Cobb Christian was led to victory by Ashlyn Knight and Ryan Chesser. Knight had six digs and two aces, while Chesser had four digs and one assist. That's the most aces Knight has posted over her last seven matches. Brynna Johnson also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for North Cobb Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe and North Cobb Christian will both be playing Rockmart the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
