Baseball Recap: Loris Lions vs. Waccamaw Warriors
Loris lost against Waccamaw back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lions fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 7-6. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aiden Suggs was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Noah Fowler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Jackson Huff also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Loris' defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Waccamaw, their record is now 9-7.
While Loris had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
