Volleyball Recap: Pilgrim Panthers vs. Lighthouse Christian Saints
Pilgrim was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Lighthouse Christian Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

Lighthouse Christian found their leader in underclassman Shayla Papik, who had seven aces and a block. Papik is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in the last seven games she's played. Pilgrim's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lighthouse Christian, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 14-0-1.
Pilgrim will venture away from home to face off against Hillcrest Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lighthouse Christian, they will welcome Ojai Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lighthouse Christian will be looking to keep their 12-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
