Softball Recap: Desert Vista Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Desert Vista couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain View Toros on Thursday. The Thunder were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Toros earlier this season, when they won 13-3.

Desert Vista saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Briski, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Desert Vista and nudges their season record down to 25-8. As for Mountain View, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-11.

Desert Vista has already played their next match (against Highland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mountain View, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Tucson High Magnet School on the 10th.
