Soccer Recap: Tyler Takes a Loss

Tyler managed to keep up with Hallsville until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Tyler Lions came up short against the Hallsville Bobcats, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 114th).

Tyler dropped their record down to 5-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hallsville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Texas the next time they take the pitch. Tyler will head out to face Texas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hallsville will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th.
