Volleyball Preview: Triton Trojans vs. North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays

The Triton Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Triton is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.

Triton is headed into the matchup having just posted their biggest win since August 29th on Thursday. Everything went their way against Bethany Christian as Triton made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-12.

Sierra Hawley was the offensive standout of the match as she had 16 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August.

Triton kept the net locked down and finished the game with 13 blocks. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now had at least ten blocks in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, North Judson-San Pierre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Culver Community.

While North Judson-San Pierre had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-23.
