Basketball Recap: Nathan Hale Takes a Loss

Nathan Hale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They took a blow against the Bishop Blanchet Bears, falling 59-15. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-5.

Despite the defeat, Nathan Hale saw an underclassman step up: freshman Opal Wilson posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and five blocks. Those eight points gave Wilson a new career-high.

Nathan Hale's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Bishop Blanchet, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Seattle Academy the next time they take the court. Nathan Hale will host Seattle Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Bishop Blanchet will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th.
