Volleyball Recap: Deseret Peak Takes a Loss

The Deseret Peak Golden Eagles came up short against the West Panthers on Wednesday and fell 3-1. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 23-25, 25-20, 25-17.

Peyton Nifo-Tomoelupe paced Deseret Peak's offense, picking up 12 kills. Nifo-Tomoelupe got some help from Amelia Cannon and her ten assists. Olivia Stump and Maylie England kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Deseret Peak's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for West, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Deseret Peak has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Murray on the 21st. West has also already played their next match (against Spanish Fork), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
