Basketball Recap: Madison/Hamilton Takes a Loss

Madison/Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mission Valley Vikings. The Bulldogs lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 62-35 score last time.

Mission Valley found their leader in sophomore Taylor Brammell, who posted 14 points. Brammell is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Adaline Bloomfield, who earned ten points and five steals.

Madison/Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Mission Valley, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Madison/Hamilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mission Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Cair Paravel at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cair Paravel has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
