Volleyball Recap: Poynette Comes Up Short

Poynette extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-6. They lost 3-0 to the Lodi Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pumas of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Lodi, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Makenna Miklas was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 16 digs and two assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September of 2024.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Poynette will face off against rival Columbus at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lodi is set to challenge their familiar foe Lake Mills at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
