Triton is 8-2 against South Johnston since August of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Hawks will head out to take on the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Triton took on Western Harnett on Monday. The Hawks blew past the Eagles 6-2.

Triton hit Western Harnett with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Yazid Espinoza-Bocanegra (2), Erick Martinez (2), Caleb Miller, and Isidore Wibonto.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Johnston). They never let Western Harnett get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for South Johnston in their matchups with Western Harnett: they've now won nine in a row.

The victory got South Johnston back to even at 5-5. As for Triton, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.

Triton was able to grind out a solid victory over South Johnston when the teams last played back in August of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
