Softball Recap: West Point Beats Lafayette for Their Fourth Straight Win

West Point won the last time they faced Lafayette and things went their way on Monday too. The Pointers blew past the Rams 17-4. The result was nothing new for the Pointers, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was West Point's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lafayette, their loss was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Point will face off against Charles City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lafayette, they will take on Warhill at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
