Basketball Recap: Victory Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Boys' Home last Monday, Victory Baptist Academy came back down to earth. The Victory Baptist Academy Saints lost to Grace Christian on the road by a 69-55 margin on Friday. If the Saints were looking for revenge after losing 72-60 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Victory Baptist Academy still got an impressive performance from Isaac Conaway, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Conaway has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Landon Cormican was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Victory Baptist Academy fell to 2-1. As for Grace Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Victory Baptist Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-43 victory against New Life Christian Academy on the 9th. As for Grace Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 65-35 win against Bloomingdale on the 10th.
