Softball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Spring Valley lost against Colfax back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 5-4.

Spring Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kate Cipriano, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. Zoe Larson also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Spring Valley dropped their record down to 2-10 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Colfax, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Spring Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Glenwood City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Colfax will challenge rival Durand-Arkansaw at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
