Softball Recap: Washington Academy Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Washington Academy's offense. They fell just short of the Orono Riots by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by just one run.

Washington Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-4. As for Orono, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Washington Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Bucksport at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Raiders 2.4, the Golden Bucks 0.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Orono will square off against rival Houlton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
