Baseball Game Preview: Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats vs. Heritage Mountaineers

The Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats will take on the Heritage Mountaineers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westminster Christian Academy has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Westminster Christian Academy came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 16-4 to Ardmore.

Drew Shafer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Walker, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Heritage was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklin.

Hudson Brown was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Heritage saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Sanders, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Heritage has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Westminster Christian Academy's record is now 1-6.
