Baseball Recap: Churubusco Takes a Loss

Churubusco made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Eastside, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles fell just short of the Blazers by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Blazers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Churubusco saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Deryan Gordon, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Churubusco's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Eastside, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Churubusco will host Bluffton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastside, they will head out on the road to take on Edgerton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
