Western had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 32-28 win over the Northwest Mounties on Friday. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Western's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Northwest, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
