New Salem fell victim to Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig]/Flasher and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Storm 47-0. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, the Holsteins' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

New Salem's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig]/Flasher, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
