Recap: Miami East Vikings vs. Bethel Bees
The Miami East Vikings put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bethel 56-13 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Miami East has managed all season.
It was another big night for Maryn Gross, who scored 16 points along with nine steals. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Logan Phillips, who scored 14 points.
Miami East pushed their record up to 12-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Bethel, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Miami East will be playing in front of their home fans against Covington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Covington is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Bethel, they will head out on the road to face off against Troy Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
