Basketball Game Preview: Deming Wildcats vs. Silver Fighting Colts

Deming is 2-8 against Silver since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Deming Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Silver Fighting Colts at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Deming is coming into the game on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They came out on top against Chaparral by a score of 46-36 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Silver had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 67-47 margin over the Desert Warriors. The score was close at the half, but the Fighting Colts pulled away in the second half with 40 points.

Silver pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points over those games. As for Deming, their victory bumped their record up to 3-20.

Deming was taken down by Silver 60-24 in their previous matchup last Friday. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Deming was down 39-15.
