Rock Point won the last time they faced Grand Canyon and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Cougars blew past the Phantoms 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Rock Point was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-6, 25-15.

Coriana Begay paced Rock Point's offense, picking up 11 kills. Begay got some help from Aiyana Becenti and her 19 assists. Becenti also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Anaysha Becenti, each putting up eight.

Rock Point's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Grand Canyon, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Rock Point will face off against Monticello at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Grand Canyon, they will head out to face off against Red Mesa at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
