Football Game Preview: Worcester Tech Eagles vs. Bartlett Indians

The Worcester Tech Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Bartlett Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Worcester Tech's defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so Bartlett's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Worcester Tech earned a 29-22 win over Keefe Tech. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Worcester Tech found their leader in sophomore Ryan Gallagher, who threw for 229 yards and two TDs on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 43 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Bartlett got themselves on the board against Quaboag Regional on Friday, but Quaboag Regional never followed suit. They blew past the Cougars 48-0. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won three games by 32 points or more so far this season.

Worcester Tech better keep an eye on Lawrence Smith. He was instrumental in Bartlett's win, rushing for 151 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries. Smith's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 110 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Bartlett was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 355 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Bartlett now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Worcester Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Worcester Tech against Bartlett when the teams last played back in September of 2021, as the team secured a 43-8 win. In that matchup, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 43-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
