Basketball Recap: Grant Community Comes Up Short

Grant Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Wauconda Bulldogs 63-26. While losing is never fun, Grant Community can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 532nd, while Wauconda is ranked 124th).

Grant Community's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Wauconda, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Round Lake the next time they take the court. Grant Community will head out to face Round Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Wauconda will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
