Basketball Recap: Petersburg Comes Up Short

Petersburg and Liberty squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Petersburg had to settle for second. They took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Mountaineers. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Mountaineers: they've now lost four in a row.

Petersburg's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Liberty, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-12.

Petersburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty, they will challenge Doddridge County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
