Football Recap: Manase Tuatagaloa Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Box Elder

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Fremont's strategy against Box Elder on Friday. The Silverwolves strolled past the Bees with points to spare, taking the game 48-30.

Fremont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Manase Tuatagaloa led the charge by throwing for 356 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground. That's the most passing yards Tuatagaloa has posted since back in September of 2024. Salesi Moa was another key pass catcher, picking up 153 receiving yards and three scores.

Fremont has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.6 points on average over those games. As for Box Elder, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fremont will take on West Field at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Silverwolves will need to watch out since the Longhorns have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. As for Box Elder, they will square off against Clearfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
