Basketball Recap: Wind River Takes a Loss

Wind River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 78-22 defeat at the hands of the Hot Springs County Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wyoming basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Bobcats are ranked sixth).

Wind River's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Hot Springs County, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.

Wind River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hot Springs County, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Rocky Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hot Springs County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
