If West Shores wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Calexico Mission, they should've done a better job of containing Nathan Alvarez. The RoadRunners were the clear victors by a 54-29 margin over the Wildcats on Tuesday thanks in part to Alvarez, who posted 21 points and seven steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

Another player making a difference was Santiago Valenzuela, who put up ten points and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

West Shores' loss came despite strong showings from Orlando Olmos and Jose De La Rosa. Olmos shot 45% from the field on his way to 14 points and six rebounds, while De La Rosa almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards. That was a full 48.3% of the Wildcats' points, marking the 11th time in a row Olmos has scored more than a third of the team's points. Mario Gonzalez was another key player, putting up two points and nine rebounds.

Calexico Mission's record is now 5-9. As for West Shores, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.
