Volleyball Recap: A.C. Reynolds Comes Up Short + How To Watch

A.C. Reynolds lost against Asheville Christian Academy back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rockets fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, A.C. Reynolds sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 25-10, 27-29, 15-12.

Asheville Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Leighton Baldwin, who had nine digs and two aces. Rachel Bass also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

A.C. Reynolds has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Asheville Christian Academy, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0.

Coming up, A.C. Reynolds is taking a road trip to square off against Brevard at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Asheville Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spartanburg Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
