Baseball Recap: Ten Straight Road Wins for Haverford

Haverford waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Perkiomen Valley Vikings get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory.

Campbell McCormack made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Lucas Rothstein looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

McCormack wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Shane Durkan, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Haverford pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Perkiomen Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
