Softball Recap: Sterling Heights Stevenson Takes a Loss

Sterling Heights Stevenson extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-9 in the process. They lost 14-3 to the Fraser Ramblers. If the Titans were looking for revenge after losing 11-6 to the Ramblers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sterling Heights Stevenson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DYLAN HAYES, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

As for Fraser, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by eight runs or more this season.

On Fraser's side, Peyton Mckernan was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Mckernan a new career-high. Brooklyn Hodge also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Coming up, Sterling Heights Stevenson will head out on the road to take on St. Clair at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fraser, they will be playing at home against Utica at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
