Softball Recap: Menlo-Atherton Bears vs. Sequoia Ravens
Menlo-Atherton had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 13-9 to make it four. They fell just short of the Sequoia Ravens by a score of 10-9. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-4 back in April.
Juliana Pandolfo and Gracy Nava did some serious damage despite the final result: Pandolfo got on base in five of her six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Nava got on base in five of her six plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Emma Loose was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
As for Sequoia, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games.

Menlo-Atherton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sequoia, they will square off against Terra Nova at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Ravens' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
