Basketball Game Preview: Ellet Orangemen vs. John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles

The Ellet Orangemen will face off against the John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ellet will be strutting in after a win while John F. Kennedy will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, Ellet earned a 58-49 victory over East. The Orangemen haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, John F. Kennedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 67-44 to Villa Angela-St. Joseph. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 498th, while the Vikings are ranked 152nd).

John F. Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Ellet, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.

Ellet came up short against John F. Kennedy in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 55-46. Can Ellet avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
