Baseball Recap: Northwestern Lehigh Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Northwestern Lehigh ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Jim Thorpe Olympians 6-4. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 7-4 victory the Olympians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Cole Dynda made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over eight innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lucian Sterling, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. Another player making a difference was Devin Rex, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

The win was the third in a row for Northwestern Lehigh, bringing their record up to 10-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Jim Thorpe, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
