Laguna Creek barely beat Monterey Trail the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Cardinals, who have now won four contests in a row.

Laguna Creek never let Monterey Trail on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-8.

Emma Lucchesi paced Laguna Creek's offense, picking up 17 kills. Lucchesi got some help from Lola Dang and her 25 assists. Finally, Olivia Cemicky kept Laguna Creek's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.
