Volleyball Recap: Carroll Takes a Loss

Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Archbishop McNicholas Rockets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-16, 25-11.

Kael Grothaus paced Carroll's offense, picking up four kills. Grothaus got some help from Sam Brun and his eight assists.

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Archbishop McNicholas, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Carroll didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Chaminade Julienne Catholic on the 10th. As for Archbishop McNicholas, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against St. Vincent-St. Mary on the 12th.
