Baseball Recap: Rivera Beats Porter for Their Third Straight Win

Rivera got themselves on the board against Porter on Tuesday, but Porter never followed suit. They blew past the Cowboys 18-0. Considering the Raiders have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Raul Reyes was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Enrique Rey, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Rivera was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Porter only posted a batting average of .000.

The victory (which was Rivera's third in a row) raised their record to 11-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Porter, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Rivera beat Porter by a score of 9-0 on Friday.
