Baseball Recap: Buckley Takes a Loss

Buckley lost against Oakwood back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Griffins fell just short of the Owls by a score of 4-3. The Griffins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Spencer Peterson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Buckley's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 1-4-1 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Katz, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Buckley now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Oakwood, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

While Buckley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
