Lutheran Northwest is a perfect 10-0 against Parkway Christian since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Crusaders will venture away from home to face off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Lutheran Northwest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Lutheran Northwest made easy work of Whitmore Lake and carried off a 13-2 win. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Fiona Hanes made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Hanes was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Alyssa Parets and Ashley Abele did most of the damage at the plate: Parets went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles, while Abele went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles Parets has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Fink, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Parkway Christian was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Lutheran, falling 15-2. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.
Parkway Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tiara Russ, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Parkway Christian now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lutheran Northwest, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Parkway Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lutheran Northwest has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Parkway Christian, though, as they've been averaging 13 hits. Given Lutheran Northwest's sizable advantage in that area, the Eagles will need to find a way to close that gap.
Lutheran Northwest took their victory against Parkway Christian in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 23-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
