Basketball Recap: Carlisle County Piles Up the Points Against Fulton County

Carlisle County won the last time they faced Fulton County and things went their way on Friday too. The Carlisle County Comets breezed past the Fulton County Pilots to the tune of 73-46. The Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Wyatt Rickard was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 25 points and 21 boards. Those 21 rebounds gave him a new career-high. Brennan O'Neill was another key player, going 9-for-17 to rack up 19 points.

Carlisle County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. They are 9-3 when they hit their own glass that hard.

The victory made it two in a row for Carlisle County and bumps their season record up to 14-16. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29 points. As for Fulton County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Carlisle County will take on Mayfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carlisle County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season. As for Fulton County, they will challenge Paducah Tilghman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Paducah Tilghman knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 matchups -- so hopefully Fulton County likes a good challenge.
