Basketball Game Preview: DeRidder Dragons vs. Iowa Yellowjackets

The DeRidder Dragons will face off against the Iowa Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. DeRidder is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, DeRidder was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-46 to Leesville.

Meanwhile, Iowa posted their closest win since December 19, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged LaGrange out 43-41. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Gators are ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

DeRidder's loss dropped their record down to 5-25. As for Iowa, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season.
