Softball Recap: Clio Triumphs

While Clio put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Owosso. The Mustangs came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 4-0. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Addie Taylor's shutout, as she gave up just six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Clio saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madalyn Raleigh, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Ashlyn LaFreniere also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Clio's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Owosso, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Clio will take on rival Brandon at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Owosso is set to square off against their familiar foe Goodrich at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
