Recap: Carmel Rams vs. Keio Academy of N.Y. Unicorns
The Carmel Rams posted their biggest win since December 4, 2023 on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 55-31 margin over Keio Academy of N.Y.. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-7.
Kylie Murphy continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 2 assists. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Carmel's points. Another player making a difference was Ashley Webber, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
The win was the third in a row for Carmel, bringing their record for this year to 5-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Keio Academy of N.Y., they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Carmel will head out on the road to take on Yorktown at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Yorktown is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Keio Academy of N.Y. will take on Hamilton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
